Dear 2022-2023 5^th Grade Students and Parents,

We are so glad to have you involved in our 5^th Grade Program.  It feels wonderful to have a full year in the building behind us.  The 5^th Grade Teachers have put together a list of items we recommend you purchase for the upcoming year.  We promise this year will prepare you for your upcoming 6^th and final year at Dundee.  We will call upon you to grow your thinking and analyzing skills, your organizational skills, your testing skills, your planning skills, and your social skills.  We promise that this year; you will grow as a student, friend, and person. 

As always, the school will supply the essential items that you will need to be successful in school.

Please make your decisions accordingly.

Items you may need: (these items are optional; but recommended)

• 4-7 Spiral Notebooks
• 5-10 folders for project work
• Pens (assignments are to be in blue or black only)
• Pencils or mechanical pencils --- many pencils
• 5 or more boxes of tissues for classroom use
• Sharpie Markers (Black or Blue thick and thin)
• A donation of a package or packages of white copy paper is greatly appreciated and will be used!
• Hand Sanitizer
• Clorox Wipes for the classroom
• 1-2 Water Bottles that are spill proof
• Colored Pencils
• Glue Sticks
• Headphones or ear buds for iPad use (students tend to lose or forget these – so extras would be wise)
• A sturdy backpack

If possible, please label items and set some markers, folders, and notebooks aside at home for future use at school. No need to bring everything at once.

Students may use their iPad as a planner and organizer for assignments.
